To trust means to move with a firm belief that whatever God chooses to do is the ideal thing. Trusting God means obeying God’s will for what we have and what we do in our life. Trust is accepting that God acts the ways clear from, or even contrary to, our most magnificent thoughts. Many times we have experienced how difficult it is to trust God.
Letting go and trust God
Philippians 4:6:- don’t worry about anything. God doesn’t want us to worry about anything, which is a clear indication that we instead pray about everything. We all might have talked about this multiple times. We can pray or panic, worship or worry. So this means that worry or panic exists from when we pray or worship.
Hence God says that we should not worry about anything as it is unreasonable, illogical, and irrational and does not make any sense like how am I looking, what should I speak, to him should I speak, will I be late for the meeting. We must understand that all this is temporary and would not last long.
Quit being discouraged over what didn’t work out.It feels like you failed, but that’s not the end of your story. God led you into the desert. You’re in a time of testing. There’s something bigger God has in your future.
Bible verses about Trusting God and Not Worrying
Joshua 1:9 – Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Romans 8:28 – And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.
Matthew 6 – 28:29 – And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.
Even though we are facing hard times, things are not going as per plan; we might face hurdles on the path and every person might not treat us the right and something that we didn’t see coming. If we settle for a disappointment at the start of the day, then we need to rethink once again.
While we start our day, we should have faith in God that he would be guiding us even though things may not perfect, people might not treat us right, plans might not go as scheduled, something that we might not see coming. But if we enjoy each moment as a gift from God, assuring ourselves that these situations would not let my disappointment to come up but trusting God saying, “I will trust in the lord, I know you’re directing my steps and even if things don’t go perfectly today I believe all things are going to work out for my good” then we will see miracles occurring since God will pull us out of the situation.
When we are in peace, it means that we are in a position of power. The best means to honor God is to get up each day with passion being our best pursuing what he put in our heart. There would always be things in our lives that we do not have the answers to, and from personal experience as well as the Word of God, if we have to know the why behind everything, and we are going to spend our life trying to figure everything out, not having the happiness and satisfaction.
When we love God enough and trust him enough that we know that whatever’s going on in our life that he’s still in control and that if we trust him he will work it out for our good. God wants to hear “I trust you God” even though we have so many questions for the things or the situations that we do not understand.
Lean not on your own understanding
We can understand by the examples when we do not trust the God but lean on our own understanding are when we prefer to worry, trying to fix the impossible, when we hurry ahead without waiting for the Lord’s move to change, when we lie awake twisting and turning at night, when we doubt biblical principles and promises that are in the book we love and study, when we turn to others first for help us when you listen to human counsel and give them the higher priority, when we manipulate and maneuver situations, when we step in and take charge of the situation praying and being led by the Spirit of God, when we cling to others in order to feel secure, needed and loved, when we keep doing things that that keep us from trusting God.
Things that aren’t good, God can work for good but we need to understand that we are the children of the God; hence he doesn’t just work everything out for good. But when we trust him and he works everything out for good.
No matter what condition our life is in right now or how many pieces it’s in, with God’s help, we can rebuild; through the strength of God, we can rise, run, and not be weary. We can walk through them, and we shall not faint; when everything else is crumbling around us in the darkest hour of our life, God will never fail us. God uses storms to teach us that we need him every day in every hour of our lives he is all-powerful and mighty; he alone is in control of planet Earth. The God we serve is the master of wind and waves; he is the chain breaker, the way maker, the way, the truth, the life, his voice that penetrates the darkness, the light of the world, the lord of glory, Lion of the tribe of Judah, our companion in the valley of the shadow of death, our hope, our tower.
Lord I thank you that you are the god of the impossible, you can do anything, I want to trust in your ability and not my own. Teach me to see difficulties in my life from your perspective, help me to focus on you and your power. I want to be like Joshua and Caleb who believed in a good report and focused on you even in hard circumstances.
Numbers 14: 9- “So don’t rebel. We have no reason to be afraid of the people who live there. The LORD is on our side, and they won’t stand a chance against us” It is my responsibility to carefully read, trust and obey your word. I bring before you the hardships that are in my life; help me not to fear, but to trust you in every situation.
I declare my faith in your ability to fulfill your promises to me; you will fight for me and win the battles in my life. You are mighty powerful righteous and true, I have nothing to fear with you on my side. I will be strong and courageous even in hard times, I will not be terrified or discouraged for the Lord my God will be with me wherever I go.
As for Joshua 1:9-“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go”. I do not need to figure everything out, as you already know the best plan for my life.
I will not try any man-made method to do only what you can do, show me your supernatural power, teach me how to walk by faith and pray. I choose to have faith in your ability to break through every obstacle in my life just like Joshua. You will give me the land and every place where my feet step. I do trust in you to give us victory over our enemies, putting our adversaries to shame. We will praise your name forever in Jesus name Amen.
